“MAKING TRACKS”

Our track laying progress has increased dramatically, thanks in part to both Kevin Erickson and Bo Hoffman.. who have been able to work during the week. Track now is at the small bridge just before the tunnels. Jim Dutton, Dave Johnson, Pat Green, Fred Schurr, Rich Ulin, Ira Schreiber, Wayne McGuire, Les Geddes and Tom Costigan have all been instrumental in the heavy job of ballasting the track. At the same time, Jerry Bernard, Torn Johnson and Fred Schurr were installing the roofing for the porch on the main building. Linda Adcock cleared the weeds and debric from the tunnel approach and burned the weeds in preparation laying track.The area between tunnel #1 and tunnel #2 has been cribbed along with two new timber portals being installed.

Weather permitting, the small timber bridge will be placed on the December 10th “work” day. This will allow track to continue into the tunnels. This track advancement “west” is now pushing excitement to the next level. Let’s keep up the pace.
