Notes From the Track Superintendent

Progress on the bridge continues in earnest as ties are now being laid, with rail following quickly.  The center steel span, now connected by east and west trestles, now looks like it should --- one very long, beautiful bridge. WOW --- what a project!!!

Grade surveying and earth work continue west of the bridge. Crews are working hard to prepare the grade so track laying won’t slow as we exit the bridge.

I can’t tell you how excited I am at our progress and look forward to our continuing movement “West”.
