“MAKING TRACKS” Notes From the Track Superintendent We’ve finally crossed the “Bridge”! Rail has been laid across the entire bridge and trains have tested the construction. Not a quiver is felt! With inner guard rails and end-of-tie timbers still to be installed, track crews now are beginning to lay track to “Helper”. Tom Johnson, with his tractor, graded the right-of-way for some distance which will allow track laying at a fast pace. This project just keeps getting more exciting with each work day’s progress. With the track this far out you can really appreciate the strong smell of sage brush and coal smoke in the air - it doesn’t get much better than this! Bijou Creek & Western -the way West! And as always, your continued help and dedication to our organization is appreciated by all, Mark Adcock, Track Superintendent |
