CLS Transfer Table Specifications The club's transfer table was built in the winter of 1997 - 1998 by club members. Dave Kelly masterminded the initial design and it was subsequently improved upon by other members. The transfer table is electrically operated in both the horizontal and vertical motions. There is an operator's stand attached to it so that the operator travels with the table. Controls are at the operator's stand. The transfer table travels on steel I-beams. At one end, there is a concrete drive so that engineers can pull their cars/trucks/vans across the transfer table tracks in order to unload their engines. This is accomplished by matching the track rails in their vehicles with the transfer table. This makes unloading of engines and rolling stock very quick & easy.
- SAFE LOAD CAPACITY - 4,000 LBS. - TRACK LENGTH CAPACITY - 22 FEET, 0 INCHES - ENGINE / CAR WIDTH CLEARANCE - 36 INCHES
These capacities and clearances should accomodate almost any live steam engine which travels on 7 1/2 inch track. Photos of our transfer table can be viewed in our 'Photo Gallery '.
